Founded by the Non-for-profit Organisation Groupe One, Ecores is a consultancy office specialised in advice and studies on sustainable development.
 
Ecores assists companies, associations and public institutions in the implementation of sustainable policies as well as responsible and sustainable management practices.

October 2008 – launching of 5 plans of Sustainable neighbourhood in Brussels

5 projects of sustainable neighbourhood were chosen and are supported by Brussels Environment: “Ba-o-bab 81 (Saint-Gilles), Helmet (Scharbeek), Durable XL (Ixelles), Le Pinoy (Auderghem) and Foret Vert (Forest)”. For one year, the inhabitants of these districts will organize activities around the topics of energy, nature in the city,  fooding. Their objective? Bring a  more convivial, greener and less  oil dependent neihbourhood.

EcoRes in association with Réseau Eco Conso, 21solutions and ERU is delegated by Brussels Environment to supervise this project, focusing particularly on the  Ba-o-bab 81.


October, 2008 - The commune of Uccle as part of its Agenda 21, has calculated its Carbon footprint

The commune of Uccle has decided to calculate the carbon footprint of its activities as well as from its territory and activities of his inhabitants. The objective of this Carbon footprint is to identify the most important areas of greenhouse gases emissions and to offer solutions and actions to reduce the impact on the environment of the commune.

November, 2008 -PartenaMut headquarters in Mons is going to do its Carbon footprint.

Health and environment go together, Partena is aware of it. That’s why, the mutual insurance company has decided to monitor  its own activities and analyse it from an environmental perspective. In order to do so, with the help of EcoRes,  the organisation is going to calculate the  Carbon footprint of its activities in Hainaut.

June 2008 – Brussels Environement’s Energy Challenge 2008 is at its height.

This year, the target audience has been expanded: Ecores and the Réseau Eco Consommation have selected, trained and supervised 35 “energy animators”, which invited their entourage to some convivial meetings about a possible energy consumption decrease. A profitable method (average energy consumption decrease of 20%) while the energy price keeps on increasing.

You want to participate to the energy challenge animator?

5th May 2008 – Ecores finalized on behalf of Bruxelles Environment a study about the training needs in the ecobuilding and energy efficiency sectors in Bruxelles-Capital Region.
While the sector follows a development path, the training needs issue becomes priority.
